  1. This reminds me an EU conference a long time ago. Member States services met in order to account about situation in their country.

Our Forestry Commission colleague wanted to let us know how desperate he felt.

He shortened his planned 10-minute talk to 10 seconds.

He agitated a white sheet of paper and claimed: 'I have nothing to say about 🇬🇧 . Talk over'. Then he went back to his seat.

    He authors this paper.

  2. So the rain let up for a bit so wandered up to outskirts of Whinlatter forest.

This river walk goes up to a waterfall or up into the tree line depending on route, but as it decided to rain when we were halfway along didn't get that far 😆 Sadly the Fuji's we have are not water sealed so had to call, but got a few shots.

Was not a great day for me, apparently I could not focus properly for some of the shots and should really take the tripod on a windy day with a manual focus lens. Some days just seem to go that way for me.
(Karen had a lot better day than me, so will do a second post when she has sorted a selection out 😁 )

  3. Got a couple more posts of bits from Whinlatter.

This a metal sculpture in the main carpark at the visitor centre, I love the metal work on this and the way the green moss is adding a touch of colour.

  4. Morning walk at Whinlatter Forest, one of Forestry Englands sites in Cumbria. Although there is a lot of fireroad walking, when you get off into the woods there are some lovely scenes.
