Saw my first two King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard shows the last two nights.
Thursday was the rainiest concert I can ever remember being at. It was pouring. There was a tornado on Long Island that evening. But the band played on, It was a great time, Forest Hills is a nice venue.
Friday night the weather was awesome, in the mid 70's and the show was packed and was incredible. I think they were making up for the previous night.
They pulled out Nathan and did some weird stuff with that contraption. (what is it?) My son who like EDM was digging that part of the show.
Their range is incredible.
Would go again, would recommend.

If I was a vet's office located on #AustinSt in #ForestHills, I'd be pushing to get cars removed from the street because my customers' pets get even more scared of going to the vet due to the constant honking car horns from idiots who don't know how to drive (hey guys there's a fucking highway running exactly parallel a whole block away, have you tried using that if you're in a hurry?)

This toot brought to you by the car-disaster that is #AustinSt in #ForestHills. I was biking on 70th Rd to get to Austin St, which has angled back-in parking because hey why not? Someone was parking, so of course there was a line of 4 cars that I was passing when the driver of one of the cars starts laying on the horn impatiently as I was literally a foot away next to the car. I made the mistake of not wearing headphones. Must remember to always wear headphones when biking in NYC.

So. On #AustinSt today (#ForestHills, #Queens), #NYC_DOT was out collecting feedback about problems w/ Austin St. I chatted with them and filled out the survey (it's available online here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AUSTINST?sm=GtO_2Bf11zXyuabB8CYM898ZEPgD4HDWITW1j_2FxCOyGiI_3D ).
When the lady saw that I had arrived by bike, she gave me this card and said, "Show this to NYPD if they try to ticket you for using the leading pedestrian interval*. It's legal, and this has the law at the bottom." I was like, "why don't you tell NYPD instead of me?"

The area near us that gets throngs of costumed kids used to close the street to cars. It's not closed tonight, so there's tons of little kids walking in the streets while drivers are trying to drive thru.🙁

Good stuff. #ASaferAustinStreet mapped out the sidewalks on #AustinSt in #ForestHills, and the results were as bad as you were expecting. A very busy business district with sidewalk widths as small as 3ft.

@kristenrapp @mdruker It's also only 9'7" tall. That would solve a lot of problems here in #ForestHills, with for example the Q23 taking a longer route due to not being able to clear some low (10'5") bridges.
