Was great to meet a RIO author at the #FORCE2026 conference. Mochammad Tanzil Multazam published a Research Idea on "GO-PUB: Open-Select-Submit" - proposing a ride-hailing style app (inspired by GO-JEK in Indonesia) that connects authors with journals. https://doi.org/10.3897/rio.5.e47232

I'm now finishing the last morning of FORCE2026 (https://force11.org/force2026/) in Singapore, and am looking forward to DataCite Connect Singapore 2026 this afternoon. Reflecting on people paying close attention to interesting talks, here's a Buffy Fish-Owl from Hampstead Wetlands Park in northern Singapore, one of the many pretty birds I've seen here.

This Spotted Wood-Owl lives in Singapore (in Pasir Ris Park), which I'm visiting to attend FORCE2026 (https://force11.org/force2026/) and DataCite Connect Singapore 2026, where I'll be talking about software plagiarism and the Research Software Alliance. I took a couple of days in advance of the meetings to look for birds, with some success.
