FYI: You can hide the For You Feed on Loops in Settings -> Feeds.

That will completely hide the For You tab, and it will be as if it never existed.

We made this a priority to allow those who don't want an algo, to still have a great home and community.

We still have Following and Local feeds ✨

Mir geht es nicht um den Altherrenwitz, dass die Facebook & Co „asoziale“ Medien seien, weil der Umgang da so schlecht sei. Nein, sie funktionieren schlicht nicht mehr sozial und sollten deswegen nicht mehr so genannt werden.

I miss algorithmic sorting of my #timeline . Sometimes it's just too much #toots to sort through.

Recently I came across #foryoufeed (by @pkreissel I believe) and I really like it.

The algorithmic sorting seems intuitive, transparent, and you get to tweak the parameters. The interface is a bit clunky though on my phone.

Do any #mastodonapps incorporate these types of algorithms? (or alternatively will incorporate this? Maybe my current favourite @IceCubesApp )

PS I know about hashtags, lists and all that. It just doesn't work well for me.

Ich vermute ja, dass die meisten auf Mastodon die kuratierten Feeds vermissen, weil man halt einfach gern "dabei ist".
#foryoufeed würde das Problem lösen, wenns zwecks Zugänglichkeit auch mal in eine App eingebaut würde.
