Okay, anyone have any advice on how to donate to the local food pantries without ending up on their donation solicitation lists? I've finally started to fall off radar since the last time I donated somewhere and I really hate how much mail it generates.

I know how much it costs to put those mailers together, and I'd really rather not be contributing to that overhead when the money should be going to buying food. Yes, I know, they budget for it, and some of the better ones do see a good return on donations, but I am not their target demographic for this shit.

So, uh, yeah. Do I just need to like walk into my local one with actual cash and insist it's an anonymous donation, or is there another way to ensure they won't cover me up with donation solicitation mail?
