  1. Working List: Shipping Container Food Venues

A recent phenomenon in restaurant and venue offerings are multi-tenant food courts, halls, and parks repurposed from discarded shipping containers. Not only is it a great reuse of these ubiquitous metal boxes, but it saves them from ending up in landfills or sunk in the ocean. Listed below are food halls, food courts, and food parks across the United States that incorporate shipping containers as a major element in their design and construction.

Aside from space for restaurants to nurture and grow, these venues often also include a bar, shops, and a variety of accompanying entertainment options. The Pitch in Austin is located adjacent to a soccer center, while SERV in Overland Park includes pickleball courts. As more such locations are documented, they will be added to the list.

    Peace!

  3. A sign spotted at a food court in Singapore. Interesting to see that Bubble Tea is not considered a food or drink but a separate category. How about 'frink'? 🙂
