i am getting "who to follow" recommendations and "similar to people you recently follow" sounds awfully algorithmic - how is this similarity ascertained? Who am I adjudged to be similar to in other people's recommendations?

@alice - One of the best people in the world without a doubt and hands down.

@ReverendMoose - An excellent source for who else on the fediverse is rad - as well as being rad himself.

@MisuseCase - can be relied on for 100% hit rate on insightful commentary

@georgelakoff - A man far too popular to notice my rec here, but who's books fundamentally altered my perception of reality. At least on par with Douglas Hofstadter and Claude Shannon. Better than Noam Chompsky.

@phoenix_fairy - I have nothing specific to say about her except that I look forward to reading her posts every time I check the fedi.

Ich hab heute eine Liste von "wichtigen" Fediverse accounts erstellt, die mindestens 1 Tausend Follower*innen haben.

Aber es gibt so viele extrem tolle Leute, die bei weitem nicht 1k Flauschies haben (aber sich verdient hätten).

Hier sind ein paar (in alphabetischer Reihenfolge):

@dieAnnie postet viel über mentale Gesundheit und ihr persönliches Leben.

@Europakueken ist mein bester Freund und selbsternannter grüner Kapitalist. Aber er hat auch gute Seiten. 😉

@fruechtchen hat immer eine lesenswerte Meinung zu Fragen der Diskriminierung und sozialer Gerechtigkeit.

@MurmeltHier könnte fast ein Alternativ-Account von mir sein. Klimagerechtigkeit & Depression.

@stefanierueckert postet viel über ein veganes und nachhaltiges Leben ohne erhobenen Zeigefinger.

@stillnotlovin ist die nächste Vorsitzende der Deutschen Pirat*innen und hat sich das redlich verdient.

... und das sind nur einige wenige unter vielen.
