  7. @Quinnae_Moon QTs encourage performative posts rather than conversations. That may be fine to show up the powerful, but it has drawbacks when used to punch down.

    Those with large followings can decline to discuss in the replies, instead repeatedly summoning their followers to dunk on a dissenter.

    It's nuanced though, because QT is also used against "reply guys" and sealioning.
