So with my recent #disastrous experience with #Uber #Eats, it looks like I have to file a #chargeback with my credit card company to get my refund. If you missed the previous episode of Support Disasters: purchase through website, but refunds only through the app, which I can't use, because I don't have a cell phone.

I thought you used to be able to dispute a merchant charge on the phone, but I don't seem to have that option today. I have to submit a dispute by postal mail - or by fax 🤣 .

I'm guessing the procedure for "submit a dispute by fax" goes like this:

1. Time-travel back to 1994 when fax was relevant.
2. Submit form by fax.

Current bench project: converting this old RCA Victor into a web radio/DLNA renderer (ie. Chromecast-type streaming receiver). #DLNA already works.

The little dingi in front of it are test prints to hold rotary encoders, and they need to fit snugly into the holes in the radio.

The three knobs will control on/vol, radio tuning, and #FluxCapacitor (low-pass filter for year of music's release)

An interesting design. As we all know, that's the most important thing about time machines! Who wants to travel in a pear shape? 🍐

I would also need a zipper machine like that. lol

My #timemachine has too little air in the tires and the MOT* has expired. But I saved money back then because I simply installed a cool #bucket instead of an outdated #fluxcapacitor or something like that.

*Ministry of Transport (vehicle inspection - in germany, we say 'TÜV' - lol)

There’s never been a pre-ride show quite like what #BackToTheFuture: The Ride delivered at Universal Studios.

And now it’s been restored and upscaled using AI and Retro Recipes is not kidding when they say it’s basically Back to the Future: Part IV.

The ride opened in 1991 (shortly after the release of BttF: Part III) and sadly closed in 2007. I’m so fortunate to have had the chance to ride it (in Florida) in the late 90s. I have vivid memories of it. #FluxCapacitor
