  1. @MikeInTheGarden Squirrels ate my crocus bulbs, but they left the irises relatively unscathed. They're popping up now.

  2. Although the gardening year is coming to a close, and most plants in my garden have died down or gone to sleep for the winter, I still have some roses.
    This variety is 'New Dawn'.

  3. Clematis flowers in my garden. The vine is growing through a ligustrum shrub.

I don't know the variety. Are any #clematis experts here who can help me with an identification?
    (Bulgaria, climate zone 7B)

But whatever it is, it's pretty and I'm enjoying the blooms. 😀

  4. Every year, 'Frances Rivis' is the first clematis in my garden to bloom, with pretty bell-shaped purple flowers.

  5. The cosmos were supposed to flower in the summer, but this year not a single cosmos plant bloomed. I gave up... and now suddenly, three months late, several gorgeous flowers have appeared.

Maybe they didn't read the schedule on the seed packet. 🤣

  6. In my garden: a honey bee visits a tagetes (french marigold) flower.

I don’t use pesticides in my garden, so bees can visit and enjoy my flowers safely.

  7. My current #gardening WIP. Taking up the cardboard garden, which was in place since Nov to kill the grass, and sifting the roots and rocks out of the sod layer. Two planters coming soon...stay tuned. #nomow #flowergardening #workinprogress

  8. I just ordered a bunch of Spring bulbs from NZ Bulbs. Feeling good for remembering to do it now instead of waiting 'til the last minute.

I buy flower bulbs every year for me and Mom to plant on Mother's Day, which is admittedly a little late in the season but it's our tradition now and I love that. We divide them up and plant the same ones in her garden and mine. Then in Spring we text each other excitedly when the first flowers come up.

  9. @Mmerrikin Thank you! I am already wanting to start tomato plants! (I start my seeds under lights on timers on my basement workbench. Did you know tomatoes have long taproots that are stymied by those dumb six-packs? We handicap them from the get-go. Start them in deep pots! Ah well, maybe I’ll start strawberries, leeks and onions for now.) #gardening #FoodGardening #Spring #FlowerGardening
