.Even though heavy rain has ended the river levels will continue to rise rapidly tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS: Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The next statement will be issued Wednesday morning at 700 AM PST.

I love thunderstorms. I even love days and days of it. But flood warnings when there is a creek about half a football field from my door isn't so great.

This was a few days ago. Standing in my apartment doorway. Gonna get more hail and possible tornados. This system moving through the eastern part of the US is nuts.

I'm seeing from international posters that the American holiday weekend is slowing access to goods and fuel, information, as though it's because people here have the days off. Interesting since working people I know are working this weekend. (eg. my husband, son's partner). We don't get holidays here.
