A privately owned South Australian island is about to become a lifeline for Australia’s most endangered species! Thanks to a joint investment by the Australian and South Australian governments, Flinders Island (off the state’s west coast) will be transformed into a sanctuary for native wildlife.

The $4.8 million project includes a massive pest eradication program to remove feral cats, rats, and mice, creating a safe haven for threatened species like the adorable banded hare-wallaby.
