Has anyone had the flex cable repaired on the 2016 13” MacBook Pro? I’m wondering how long lasting the repair of the cable is. Will I get a few years out of it or just a month or 2? The repair shop said they repair the cable and do not replace anything.

My 2017 MacBook Pro 15” now has #Flexgate. Since it is not included in the repair program … has someone fixed it himself? The tutorials look way over my capabilities. Maybe I convert it in a desktop machine an only use it with external display …
