#flesheatercourts — Public Fediverse posts

Two experiments on last month's Cryptguard mini (and a spare I acquired); trying skin tones as well as the brick-like base made from the sprue. Next project is a Flesh-eater Courts Spearhead.

“Token” model complete. I’ve called it “let us deal with that traitor Mazón” because reasons. #AoS #CitiesOfSigmar #conversion #FleshEaterCourts #Warcry #WarhammerAoS I recon the wip black background suited it better @warhammercommunity

@warhammercommunity Path 2: the monk. No antlers, put a crow there. Keep the stick, remove the stones and use a big hand from the ogres as a Hand of glory (see hellboy). Add a second crow to the base, eating something. Left hand either empty, holding a skull (preferred) or a severed head. The bird skull mask stays like that.

Let's say is "bone based”.

#FleshEaterCourts #AoS #Warcry #conversion

@warhammercommunity Path 1: Full robed cannibal. Keep the antlers, left hand holds a severed head, right hand has the severed arm, no crook, maybe some meat chunk hanging from the antlers. Switch the mask for a regular skull (or a goblin skull).

Let's say is "meat based”.

#FleshEaterCourts #AoS #Warcry #conversion

Ok @warhammercommunity , hear me out.

Let’s focus on the classic, ongoing #FleshEaterCourts warband. I don't like the Cardinal model at all, so I've been planning using Broken Nadja from the Brand's Oathbound kit.

At this point I've got 2 doable ways to tackle this project (see next toots).

PS: The goblin skull is a thing I've been wanting to use but it's not mandatory or something.

#AoS #Warcry #conversion

I had 2 options for the fangs (and lots of sculpting to do, at this stage there are just some blobs of sprue goo hardening before cutting and sculpting). My friends helped me decide and he will be like Nosferatu.

#PaintingMiniatures #AoS #Warcry #Spearhead #FleshEaterCourts

This is how it compares to the original one (has too many paint layers, has even lost detail, don’t mind the wip).

#PaintingMiniatures #AoS #Warcry #Spearhead #FleshEaterCourts

So I finally started this #conversion:

#PaintingMiniatures #AoS #Warcry #Spearhead #FleshEaterCourts

Edited: Alt text added, now you can boost them all, my pretties!

Continuing with my #FleshEaterCourts I've always had an issue with the Super Saiyan like brawny Archregent model. I wanted something gaunt, tall but skinny, like the famine-ravaged horde he commands. So I've been thinking about this, how to build a guy like this without straight copying the Carnskyr from UW. The Gorewarden is not an option because he's the only one with 6 limbs.

Here’s the beautiful Lady of the golden locks, sworn knight of the order of the wolf, my last conversion (completing the Morbgheg Knights “counts as” unit). #FleshEaterCourts #AoS #ghouls #conversion

Speaking of #FleshEaterCourts, this was what GW promised and never delivered: Dancing jolly devils fighting Roman cohorts (taken from the literal art of the last Flesh Eater Courts Battletome).

[New skill unlocked]: Sculpting with molten plastic from sprue waste using cheap “airbrush cleaner” (AKA plastic cement) and a brush.

When reposing limbs it makes indestructible new joints (ghoul ankles anyone?).

That means not only less waste, but less epoxy/ resins use (leaving those for the smallest details).

“yOu cAn’T pAinT gRimDaRk iN bRigHt nIcE cOLoUrs - It should be DARK- It's in the name” people can kiss my old ass.

This is my Varghulf Courtier model (A.K.A. The White Knight) for my #Spearhead army. Only 3 Morbheg Knights left before I can play my first game.

#FleshEaterCourts #LandOfChill #AoS #SnowyWarhammer #Grimdark @warhammercommunity

Now that's what I call festive spirit. Just my kind of humor. Well done, GW, well done.

Capital Palette Entry 3/3.
Ushoran, Mortarch of Delusion. He was always intended to be a personal piece. I was peer-pressured by chat into entering this guy. I love this horrible freak even if he's the one I expect the least from.

If I were a mere mortal I could possibly call this done. But alas, I am not, and neither is he. Work continues tonight.

The indefatigable Knights of Fleischtraum guard well its proud walls, bearing sacred banners and shining ceremonial wargear. They gracefully ride down would-be invaders, singing hymnals while mounted atop beautiful and noble steeds.

The court mourned for Hansel's passing by holding a grand feast in his memory, as he would have wanted. This was eclipsed by the celebration held when he returned to Fleischtraum Estate, now a revered saint of their lord Nagash.

Confessor Pietro Fleischtraum, the Sin-Eater. He wears the Capirote of Contrition, a relic made from the skull of one of Nagash's saints as well as a holy raiment scribed with the absolved sins of the Court's nobles.

Started my Morbheg Knights on stream last night. Tried out doing a Painted Bat (orange & black) on one but just wasn't vibing with it. Tried out a Honduran White Bat for this one and I think we have a winner.

Dariusz Fleishtraum, Warden of the Estate.
Cantankerous, paranoid, & solitary. He patrols the grounds constantly, double- & triple-checking that every gate is locked. Some call it dutiful vigilance, others obsessive-compulsion. Both camps would be correct.

I’m leaving this here for the evening shift:

The Skinnerkin!

So, they are all done! I hope you like them (and I blame #Fedipaint organizer @Berit for making me painting them in ice after that competition when the key word was “cold”). #SkinnerKin #FleshEaterCourts #NewAoS #AoS #WarhammerUnderworlds #Wintermaw #PaintingMiniatures.

Left to Right: The Carnskyr, Young Master Kretch , Gristla Tenderhooke, Flense Master Pewdrig, Seddrik the Chain.

Hit me with your craziest takes on this lot!

It keeps surprising me how cool Xpress paints look in just one coat (or one and a half if you do a gradient using just water and no skill). It creates a great canvas to paint your models.

#PaintingMiniatures #FleshEaterCourts #WarhammerUnderworlds #NewAoS

Well, I wrote something yesterday. Do you want to hear me ranting about miniature’s elbows and wings? Then this is the niche “content” you were looking for #WarhamFam #AoS #FleshEaterCourts #PaintingMiniatures

https://wilbur.ghost.io/bats-elbows-and-goofy-monsters/

And a last thing. I also used that blue goo to build and sculpt the gaps for this flying monster conversion, counts as Crypt Flayer or whatever.

I used an old kit and the face of a Nightshrieker (the Morbheg’s knights mount). I think it looks better as a giant bat-ghoul hybrid. I’ve not decided if I’m going to sculpt the hair in the neck, so it goes from the head tuft to his back.

Here’s the dry smooth & satisfying texture before sanding.

How does this Morbheg Knight mockup look to you? Works better than the boars, right?
#AoS #WarhamFam #FleshEaterCourts #conversion

I rushed this model today until my hay fever said enough and my eyes stopped working properly. I was in a hurry because I’ll have almost zero spare time the rest of this month so my #fedipaint entry will be this model (it's not finished yet, needs more work at least on the severed head, the sword, leg and forearm armor, nails and base).

I literally could not see the left eye so he’s… blinking?

#wip #AoS #FleshEaterCourts

I’m pretty sure I won’t finish this unit of Morbheg Knights on time for #fedipaint, so I'll probably participate with another ghoul, but It's been a couple of days of sculpting and repairing the boars (converted into cyboars 10 years ago) and I wanted to show you how it’s going:

#FleshEaterCourts #AoS #Conversion

Edit: I wrote their lore here, if you're interested: https://wilbur.ghost.io/surrounded-by-turnips/

I was gonna convert this vampire but.... I mean just look at it!
#WarhammerCommunity #FleshEaterCourts #HolyFireMinis

I was puzzled by the “torch bearer” bit but looking closely at the drummer i realized those are fucking head drum sticks with long hair (and for the wave that hair is making, the guy is going nuts beating that thing with them). #FleshEaterCourts #WarhamFam #AoS #RumourEngine @WarbossKurgan

Hi guys! We got luck and the original poster of the leaked #FleshEaterCourts sprues showed up high res close-ups. Take a look! (reposted from Reddit; user: baffo182). #AoS #WarhamFam

@WarbossKurgan after seeing this early today I’ve lost my faith in seeing those “new FEC” models anytime soon. Specially on the rumored box with cities vs FEC. #AoS #FleshEaterCourts

Aaaand he's done!
