a good notification from FindAGrave, someone took a photo of the grave of Louis Grupp's father (mentioned in the thread below), Abraham Samuel Grupp (1860–1932), a #flautist born in Chudniv & a small-time #klezmer musician in New York City around the time of WWI.

Absolutely delighting in playing the new flute, the range and quality of sound is just so much more than I could get from my trusty student flute.

Well, today marks an important step in my life as a #flautist ... We removed the first bung on my open holed flute! Starting with F ... which actually feels like it's probably the easiest!

It's a whole new sensory experience which has thrown me quite a bit .. but I'll get used to it!

I got this flute about 4 months ago and it's been quite the learning experience, a whole new ball game playing on a fully silver flute compared with a nickel student flute!

Another practice time. Working on easier pieces tonight, my tone is good today. My flute is a Pearl Quantz RF525 E, which has a solid silver lip plate. It has a nice sweet sound with the largo head joint. Other flautists what flutes do you have? #flautist #flute
