2025 marks my 33rd year with trying to get #BCForestryReform in #BritishColumbia #Canada.

The former BC Liberals were big on profiting from #deforestation. We had some hope when #BCNDP took over #BCgovernment but that was quickly dashed. The now dead John Horgan led BC into fresh new neoliberal, ecocidal hellholes. Our current BC Premier Eby was groomed by that former colonial capitalist jerkwad. Both neoliberals & fascist adjacent, white-is-right turdbuckets. More forests were clear-cut under #BCNDP power than under the former BC Liberal asshats.

Don't buy into government greenwashing & whitewashing lies when it comes to old growth forests. Denounce forestry industry funded lobbyists BS too. We need to #BanCorporateLobbyists & to #StopCorporateWelfare to fight more government corruption.

Part of the #MarbleRiver in #Winter of 2022.
Taken on a trip towards Port Alice, after 5 days of blizzard conditions. Things cleared up & roads were safe enough to adventure out again. We hunkered down at a cheap motel in Port Hardy while the blizzard blew through. The only places we could buy foods/drinks were a gas station & pub - every other business that had food was shutdown.

Nach Merkels "Wir schaffen das"-Sager am 31. August 2015 und dem Beschluss am 4./5. September, Flüchtlinge aus Ungarn durch Österreich nach Deutschland reisen zu lassen, waren am 21. September die Hälfte der im Erstaufnahmezentrum Traiskirchen Untergebrachten Kinder und Jugendliche.

(Auch wenn man bedenken muss, dass viele junge Erwachsene damals behaupteten, unter 18 zu sein).

A Flashback Friday to 2 years ago: While driving my moving truck and towing my car, I had a flat tire before reaching Reno. After a 6 hour wait on I-80, 1 hour of sleep in Reno, and tire replacement, I made it to Jackpot later that day on my way back to Montana.
