I will observe, but not comment further, on the ironic juxtaposition of #WalterBenjamin's name being right next to a private bank (any bank for that matter). That said, I was very happy to see #Benjamin's name several times while I had the good fortune to be in #Paris. Not only this street sign but in the #Museum of #Decorative #Arts, which had an exhibition about the birth of the #departmentstore, his words about #fetishism & the #flaneur were present.

Walking for leisure is great for my #mentalhealth but I also find I'm at my most distracted ADHDy.
We'll be talking about something in depth but it'll be constantly interjected with "ooh I like those windows", "have you seen that shadow?" and "SQUIRREL!".
Perhaps it's good for my brain because I don't feel the need to fight it when walking. Perhaps I should consider the talking as a distraction from enjoying being aware of the world around me.

Hey, would you like to come on a walk with me?
It's 2 years today since we moved to #Slaithwaite (a village in the Pennines) and every time I have to go into #Huddersfield, the nearest town, for boring reasons, I walk in to make the trip more interesting. It's 6-8miles and I pick a different route each time to explore the local area more.
Today, I'm going to buy towels (yawn) so let's make the route a good one! It'll be a mix of rural, suburban & urban 😀
