"A planned burn is underway in this location. You may see and smell smoke in the area."

  2. ELEMENTAL Reimagine wildfires

A nice film on #fire #management in Western US & relevant to other regions. To what extent #fuel management is a solution? The importance of #embers, house #flammability & #indigenous knowledge

  3. North Africa's #forests on fire! In a sense, we "forecasted" this in 2007 in our study for the "Stratégie nationale d'adaptation de l'agriculture tunisienne et des écosystèmes aux changements climatiques." "Under climate forcing, rising temperatures will increase the #flammability of #fuels and consequently the risk of #forestfires". Even if it’s written in #French it’s still worth to be read!#climatechange #Tunisia, #wildfires #geography #climatecrisis

  4. It is early May and many landscapes in eastern Spain are ready to #burn ... as it was summer

Many non-resprouter species are pretty dry, with dead biomass (eg #Ulex parviflorus dominant in the pictures below); they cannot avoid #dehydratation as #resprouters do (doi.org/10.1111/nph.13644)

  5. CW: Disturbing Flammability of 3D-Printing Filament

In addition to my note about the flammability of Prusament PETG Matte Black: Here is a short video that shows how fast it catches fire and how intense it burns.

Most PETG filaments do not catch fire, or if they to, they do not sustain the flame.
