The future of the gateway to Loch Lomond must not be decided behind closed doors. The National Park’s board held a full public hearing before unanimously rejecting Flamingo Land’s destructive plans. The Scottish Government must do the same.

Ministers have listened to our campaign and agreed to recall Flamingo Land’s Loch Lomond mega-resort application!
After the outrageous decision by an official to overturn the National Park board’s rejection of the destructive plans, over 50,000 of us demanded that Scottish Government Ministers use their power to recall the application.

Interesting listening to ScotCast's piece on #FlamingoLand with the Greens and Friends of Loch Lomond. Personally I can't see why anyone would support the development in the first place, but the FOLL guy really did his side no favours by personally attacking Ross Greer and generally falling into the trap of being aggressive and dismissive.

Last week we heard the shocking news that a Scottish Government official would overturn the National Park’s decision to reject Flamingo Land’s mega-resort proposals and instead grant them permission to go ahead.
This would overrule the 155,000 objections, the Government’s own environment watchdog SEPA, the Park’s expert planning officials and plenty of others, and the unanimous democratic decision of the Park’s board. -
Despite the most objections in Scottish history, and against the dev plan, the @snp.org Scottish gov have approved for #Flamingoland to build a mega resort on #LochLomond but you can still stop this by signing @scottishgreens.org here : greens.scot/LochLomond

IF there is one thing that #Scotland does not need, it is an attraction dedicated to Flamingoes.
Flamingo Land at it again. Clearly having 60,000 objections wasn't enough. Ancient forests will go, will be under-protected and Loch Lomond itself damaged.
