Kumquat-pecan crepes — baked, sauced, set on fire. 🔥
Preserved kumquats blended with pecans, butter, and brandy. Rolled into crepes. Baked until bubbling.
The finale: warm Cognac, ignite, pour over the platter. Shake until flames subside. Serve immediately.
Not everyday dessert. The kind that earns a reputation.

Did not hit 50%, not self sustaining. Warmed slightly a la flambe, though, it is ***way*** more flammable than before (put a tiny bit in a pan over a low burner and the subsequent ignition was a "whoom!" 😬 But followed shortly by a cloud of fabulously pleasant smelling, sweet smoke. Did not lose my eyebrows!). Putting this stuff in one of those warming "air freshener" devices could be nice, LOL. Shortly after, a bee flying by came around to figure out what the smell was, lol. #mead #flambe
