We already have “the app”, it’s called FixMyStreet, and it does not need an ID card to operate:

Three-quarters of those polled supported the use of such an app to track the progress of applications made to local authorities, while some 69 per cent said they wanted it for voting or receiving official notifications, the Tony Blair Institute report showed.

@chewie @ldodds it's almost impossible to fix potholes when people are making new ones faster because of a lack of viable alternatives to driving (thanks @notjustbikes) in most of the country. Also, some local authorities are stupid and prioritise reports made by fighting their awful reporting websites while ignoring and badgering people who report using apps like #FixMyStreet

I am told the flowers very conveniently covering this road sign in #Oxford's Broad Street have now been taken down - not because the #FixMyStreet addict in my household made a fuss about them, but because it's the end of the season and all the flower decorations have come down.

Just went on #FixMyStreet to report a sinkhole and was delighted to discover they offer an #RSS feed of problems reported in your local area.
