    Last weekend - fish were probably under the ice sheet. I sent a fly underneath from upstream, but it didn’t work 😅
    The ice should be mostly melted by tomorrow when I plan to fish 😉

    A very long rod with a fixed-length line would be ideal for this situation - no need to walk on the thin ice or to worry about the fly line getting caught by ice. But, I had my standard 9-ft fly rod with me 🙃
    I do have a 17-ft keiryu rod that I should've brought along 🤔
