Whistlestop Scotland: The Firth of Clyde

The mighty River Clyde flows out to sea through the Firth of Clyde on Scotland's west coast, past towns made famous for shipbuilding and spectacular scenery. It is still a busy thoroughfare for tankers, ferries heading to Argyll and Bute, and Royal Navy nuclear submarines heading for Faslane - long a bone of contention for those who do not wish them to be quartered in Scottish waters.
