Went to my first "First Friday" drum circle on Friday. It was loud and the rhythm was hypnotizing. There were two junjun guys who were so good, and really got the beats started, with escalating tempos that really brought in the crowds for dancing. So many people jumped in and grabbed drums and bells, it was all such a great vibe. So many dancers! Highly recommended

Want to keep those Labor Day outdoor chill vibes going? Then come on over to Plymouth this Friday. As promised last time, Matt will be making his legendary tacos, so you won't want to miss out!

When: Friday, Sept 5th, 5 til 7 or so....
Who: Matt Berkeley and Friends
What: live music and possibly some beginner whole group music to kick it off, with Matt and friends, food and drink/happy hour hang to follow
Where: Plymouth Church of Jazz and Justice 424 Monte Vista Ave., Oakland, outdoor grassy area
Why: communal musiking, the groovy beats, to see friends, and build community
How much: kids are always free, suggested donation of $10-20 per adult. No one turned away for lack of funds.
Tacos: It will be taco bar style. Drop a few bucks to help us cover ingredient costs.
