  1. CW: Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and Three Houses spoilers

Micaiah's characterization in Engage makes it look like she's all innocent like Eirika and Celica when in reality she is absolutely not.

She is way more similar to Edelgard.

  3. Funniest Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn challenge would be a lord solo run.

Because it would constantly change between impossible hard (Micaiah) and super easy (Ike) and some in between (Elincia, ...).

  7. Ike's part 3 chapters in Radiant Dawn feels kinda like Birthright especially in terms of difficulty.

  9. In Radiant Dawn, I'd say if you rank how good a unit is mainly by how much easier they make the game and not really about efficiency or availability, then the best unit isn't Haar, it's Sothe with no contest.

Mainly because if this game gives you a Juggernaut, you don't get just one but multiple. And having one less of them only really changes the speed, not difficulty.

The big exception is the beginning where you only have Sothe who is extremely strong.

  11. The biggest crime of Radiant Dawn is that even though the game gives you so many units who, at least during some chapters, are *Juggernauts, only one of them is a magic user: Tormod

This game really hated magic users.

*Juggernauts are units who can solo a map with relative ease.

  13. CW: Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn Part 4

Fun fact: When splitting up the units, I put Haar and Jill in the group that has the desert map by pure chance. I didn't know about the desert map beforehand.

  15. The funny thing about Radiant Dawn's hard mode mechanic where you can't see enemies movement ranges is that it arguably makes the game easier.

It just discourages playing the game normally while also encouraging to just steamroll the maps with a few strong units (which the game gives you a lot btw) so you don't have to calculate the ranges manually.

  17. I love Haar, but he is probably the best unit of a Fire Embem game where not having him has the least impact.

Of course in terms of efficiency and low turn count he makes a huge difference but difficulty? In nearly every chapter where he can just solo everything, you also have other units who can do that too (Ike, Titania, ...) and those chapters would still be a complete joke.

  19. The difficulty names in the western release of Radiant Dawn (easy, normal, hard) is so much more fitting than in the Japanese version (normal, hard, maniac) personally.

If I hadn't known the Japanese names, I wouldn't expect too much and be a lot less disappointed when they were easier than I thought.

  21. Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn is probably the game with most inconsistent difficulty that I know of.

Half of the maps are just a joke, there are 2 short bursts of high difficulty and the rest is medium.

That also makes the game's difficulty hard to rank compared to the other Fire Emblem games. I would put it in medium or easy (if you invest heavily in Jill) tier, maybe.
