#wingspan, un juego de mesa donde uno es un observador de pájaros, y colecciona ver pájaros... para que los pájaros aparezcan tiene que haber comida y nidos... ese juego trajo #Finspan, la misma idea pero con peces, uno bucea y ve a los peces, la mecánica del juego es parecida, hay peces carnívoros, y otros no, unos que solo pueden vivir al fondo, etc.. pero algo mas sencilla que con los pájaros.. y después salió #Wyrmspan ... explorar cuevas donde viven dragones... este con un nivel de complejidad mas alto...
no diré que en casa están todas las expansiones de los juegos y que hay tantas tarjetas de pájaros como para jugar toda la vida y no verlas de nuevo.. -

El fin de semana jugando #Finspan, una variación del juego de aves #Wingspan pero un poco menos complejo... se tiene un tablero con 21 espacios para poner peces, los peces tienen restricciones de que tan cerca de la costa y/o que tan profundo pueden vivir... el que llene sus espacios me mejor manera gana. Gané esta vez.

Inaugural game of #FinSpan with @covfefe_cake this weekend was pretty great. While it has some obvious similarities to #WingSpan, it’s still pretty unique with its own interesting game mechanics, and I look forward to exploring it some more.

cosas adquiridas el fin de semana:
1. visita a la biblioteca pública, tenían unas tazas hechas a mano por una ceramiquería local. Y de los colores que me gustan. La biblioteca también da semillas, de ahí el uso de la frase.
2. Un "spin-off" de el juego Wingspan, Finspan. Uno en un buzo, tiene que encontrar tantos peces distintos como posible, se parece al juego Wingspan donde se buscan aves, pero 20% mas simple.#finspan #wingspan #juegodemesa #taza #cafe #bibiloteca #jardin

I got Finspan to the table.
Definitely a step up from Wingspan, not just because I like fish more than birds.
No more managing stupid dice and resources, it's more like a deckbuilder to get cards down.
It's more streamlined and kid-friendly, IMO, but still deeply tactical.
The artwork, as always, is just magnificent.

My favourite mechanic of the month was in #Cosmoctopus - after you’re done moving the octopus around you turn it to face the next player - a different take on “oh, is it my turn?” that’s still kind of annoying but also cute and silly.

Our Monday gaming group has grown a lot over the past couple of years. It's been exciting to see! It was just four of us back in 2021. Now we have between 9 and 12 regulars showing up. I'm also proud of our wide age range of 20-76(?). All lovely people!
We kicked things off with #TurboDrift. This little #Buttonshy wallet packs a whole lot of awesome!
I had an appointment to get to, so we played #Overboss. Quick little tile laying game. I love the artwork, and it's always a fun one.
Then half the group played #Finspan and my half played #Wyrmspan. Wyrm feels like too much of a struggle to me. But it's fine. #Wingspan is still my favorite of all the spans. And not just for the birds, which I can't stop staring at (in game, and irl). Three are so many more cool card interactions. It always feels satisfying.

New game I played this week -
Finspan - play your fish cards and go diving to score the most points. I've never played Wingspan and I've played Wyrmspan only once, but this seems to be the simpler version of the general gameplay loop. There's still plenty of combinations to make and planning to do to be efficient. I managed to win too!
