@Setok My original idea was to have a more discerning view but this was the way the conversation flowed and we ran with it… I probably actually prefer this more humorous version but still think there is also a conversation one could have about what counts (subjectively) as sf and why.

#DarkMatter was a lot more impactful in the end than we thought. You just have to get by the first two or three episodes (which can be a struggle). Thanks to the ‘What to Watch’ tip at #finncon2024 we endured. Was worth it.

This isn't data — it isn't even really the plural of _anecdote_, for that matter — but based on my recent experiences at #finncon2024 I have a very strong hunch that queer-coded people are more likely to wear masks at conferences.

Not everyone does, of course. But I was definitely not the only one wearing one this time.

#finncon2024 is over. I had a great time – my program items went well (and people came to see them!), hanging out with the organizers and the other guests was a blast, there was good food and plenty of drinks, and in general good times were had by all. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make the convention happen! And especially thanks to Reko for the gorgeous badge holder!
