Seems to be much like how #finlandisation worked. It is very important to realise that much of the erosion of #democracy & corruption finlandisation caused was actually due to opportunistic local politicians and other players realising they could play the "Kremlin card" against their opponents.

@richievk that could be a good start. #Finlandisation was framed as a negative thing (and in some ways it was), so we need a new, positive brand. Perhaps #Finlandification instead is the process of having had to be tied to oppressive regimes, but slowly opening up and becoming a full member of the open, democratic communities. Perhaps #Ukraine is going through that, maybe one day #Belarus will. Finally #Russia will need some Finlandification so we can all work together again.
