The nice thing when working with linseed oil (besides all the other advantages like not needing turpentine to clean your tools or not needing to use a respirator) is that you can spread it with your fingers.
This gives you a great feel for any spots that need more oil and you don't have any rugs to take care of. (Also it smells great.) 1/3

“It’s a quiet Saturday afternoon. I’ve carved out a few precious hours for coding, armed with a steaming cup of coffee and the familiar urge to dive into a project. As I settle into my chair and open my terminal, I’m confronted with a challenge that’s become all too familiar: deciding which of my many unfinished projects to tackle.
I navigate to my project directory, greeted by a graveyard of half-implemented ideas and stalled works-in-progress. First coats of Total Boat Halcyon on the #coffeetable. I’m planning 2 coats of amber gloss followed by a coat or 2 of clear satin. Water based, easy to apply, and looks great so far.

Been applying a wipe-on finish to a chair project.
The nitrile gloves I've been wearing have literally been filling up with sweat in the warm (80+ F) temps. Literally had sweat drip out of the gloves and on to the chair
I have some cotton BBQ gloves (aka glove liners) I got for other uses. So I tried wearing those under the nitrile gloves.
It worked! No puddles of sweat.
So, if you have sweaty hands under nitrile gloves giving you problems, try cotton inner gloves to absorb the sweat.
Don't know if anyone else will find this useful or not.
Doubt that I'm the first to do this.

Using coil binding for books enables them to lie flat, both when open or folded over.
