When I first saw this sign, I thought "Someone's having a laugh! Fingerpost for half a metre to the bridge?"
It took a glance at the rest of the sign to realise I was on #Richmond Lock not #RichmondBridge - but in my defence, I'd walked from Greenford after an even more mega hike up and down the South Downs the day before 😅

Fingerpost on top of the Stockhorn (2'190m). After my hike to the summit from Gurnigel, I went down by cablecar, which ends in the village of Erlenbach in the Simme Valley. But there are more Erlenbachs.

- Erlenbach in canton Zürich (141.7km, 35h40m)

I explored a detour off the #DownsLink in West Sussex. Note the 'double-deck' railway bridge icon used along the route. Inspectors instructed the bridge to be raised before opening the line to reduce the gradient. The railway operated 1865-1965. #FingerpostFriday #WestSussex

Following in the footsteps of Susan Cooper today in the hills above Aberdyfi. First a revisit to the Eglwys Gwyddelod ('Church of the Irish') Bronze Age cairn circle - my previous visit was in dreary rain a decade ago, today a complete contrast with wonderful views.
Then to Llyn Barfog (where Arthur cast out the afanc and The Lady appeared) and Carn March Arthur (the hoofprint left by Arthur's horse).
