I have 100% leveled up my #guitar again on this "round" of interest
I've been trying out different #fingerpicking and strumming patterns. I even had one of the 19yos in the house grooving along (i.e. headbopping) etc and another 19yo was later found whistling a song I'd been playing. It's starting to be more #music -al!
Not coincidentally, I've also started practicing with a metronome more often. I tend to play WAY too fast (except for the hard parts) so this overall makes things easier.

Un digne héritier de #JohnFahey et du l'#AmericanPrimitiveGuitar, un proche de #GlennJones, avec qui il a d'ailleurs écrit le somptueux album pour 2 guitares "The Things We Used To Do", cet album est celui avec lequel j'ai découvert ce guitariste. Vu en concert à Paris, dans un bel exercice de maitrise de son instrument. A écouter absolument.

Just spent 10 minutes trying to remember this guy's name.
"This guy" being Jake Xerxes Fussell, one of the most interesting musicians in the folk-ish/Americana-ish/fingerpicking space. I've been a fan for a while now! Amazing how your brain can just go black like that.
Lots of trad tunes but done in a very thoughtful, subtle, inimitable way. If you like Sam Amidon and you don't know Fussell, check him out for sure.
This whole album is exceptional and perfect for a Sunday night.
