I finished my 'alt timeline' version of Piers' story finally. I'm quite pleased with it. It's a ROUGH ride but ends in a more kind yet open/ambiguous way than I figured it would.

I've done a lot of #plotting today, and begun the final chapter of my #wip. The whole book is now just about 100,000 words, which I didn't really think I'd get to when it all started with a short story.
But there's a feeling I'm having in this final chapter that I've not really had with other stories I've written, and that's a deep sadness for my characters. It's been a very tough road for them.
