I can’t help but think that this kind of political advertising is completely in accordance with #austerity measures favoured by #neoliberal #economics, which, may I remind everyone, is the debunked #TrickleDownEconomicTheory of shifting more wealth to the #filthyRich .

I’m just left wondering which socially responsible services the good people living in the ACT (the most liveable jurisdiction in Australia and not just by my account) would be willing to forgo to lower this conflated tally. I’m more than certain that a thorough investigation of budget papers (for which I have not the time nor the inclination) would soon whittle this total down into categories of needed, required, and promised progressive agenda funding taken to an election. Granted there may be a smaller portion which may require greater scrutiny, etc.

The problem with this kind of political propaganda is its designed purpose which is to outrage the electorate by painting things with a very broad and fuzzy brush (don’t look too close, you might find holes).

My take… is to take this kind of #propaganda with a large dose of salt. Don’t believe everything you read IMO. If you wish to keep govt ‘honest’ take a specific slice of the budget at a time and debate it informatively. And be less #emotive about it — you’ll get more creds and better results that way.

The Western Press is not only replete with white supremacists but also mostly christians (not to say christofascists).
