Finally fully offline <3. Got myself Snowsky Mini :o)

Did a lot of research, and i think with this device you get the most for the money (59 Euros). I also love the pure physical button operation(screen is not touch).

Now i just need to optimize the tagging of the music and audiobooks/dramas.

DW has the FiiO FT-7 headphones lined up to Magni-Unity listening to Cowboy Junkies Trinity Session. WOW!

The Junkies, just launched, couldn't afford studio time so they rented Trinity Church in Toronto and recorded the music live around an Ambisonic stereo microphone. The mics are set inside a head and ears model that modes binaural hearing. The result is incredible. But turn off the Harman eq and crossfeed.

Update on the Fiio EH11 headset, after a month of use:

* Indeed, after flashing an EQ preset on them (with the official Android app), they sound amazing.

* Rotary knobs truly are a huge UX benefit.

* On Linux, #BlueZ / BluetoothD struggles with them. Getting them to reconnect correctly (in a way where #PipeWire sees them) is very finicky.

Decided to spoil myself & purchase a Bluetooth headset, the Fiio EH11: https://fiio.com/eh11

YouTubers rave about it as the Koss Porta Pro killer; it's ⅓ the price & you can tune it with a persistent EQ.

Rotary maple wood knobs on the sides (to skip tracks / adjust volume) is genius.

I hope the microphone is good, as it would be a huge plus for calls while exercising or commuting.

I hate that it uses a proprietary battery (with USB-C charging) instead of AAA, but YOLO 🤷

Buying the #JH13 for around $34, you are getting a hybrid IEM with a fun, powerful sound and great technical performance that actually surprised me in a good way. It doesn’t have neutral or reference tuning, but its got strong bass, a big stage, and good imaging.

Anyone a FiiO FT1 user? How do you find them. I’m currently in the process of researching a full analogue headphone based system and a separate full digital headphone based system.

I’m going to be moving from my B&W speakers and Yamaha Amp.

I Currently use a Graham Slee Gram Amp as a phonostage and looking at a Graham Slee Novo as the Headphone Amp.

Also looking at a FiiO K15 as Digital as using a iFI Go Max with an iPad at the moment.

I’m using the FT1 with Velour Pads.

Just noticed one of my favorite pieces of software ever had a big update after more than 5 years: the #Rockbox media player software! https://www.rockbox.org

I ran this on an old #iPod color, of course, but later on an old #Android phone, a #FiiO M3K and today on a #Surfans F20! Honestly it just can't be beat, software wise, for a media player. 🧵1/2

Odszczekuję. żeby kupić coś spełniającego minimalne wymagania to pewnie będę musiał wydać 1/4 ceny mojego telefonu (pixel 9a).

- #dac na zintegrowanym donglu - źle upadnie i łamiesz gniazdo usb
- dac z przewodem - nagminnie przewód się luzuje, dac do wyrzucenia
- dac z ładowaniem - buczy

większość tańszych daców sprzedają w parach, czyli jest 50%+ szansa że padnie przed upływem czasu na wymianę 💢 mi padł po godzinie, i to był #fiio - nie z tych zupełnie najtańszych.

Jeszcze można kupić oddzielny odtwarzacz, czyli dziś to typowo smarfon z androidem bez modemu gsm... bo producent właściwego smartfona poż...alował na gniazdko 3.5mm

fiio ka11 - co za gówno, przerywa i daje trzaski statyczne. Można uszkodzić słuch i słuchawki
