Dik Downey of Opposable Thumb Theatre in the opening of his brilliant new solo show "Don Quixote (is a very big book)".
"With a fabulous gallery of puppets and desperate clowning, Dik’s Quixote embarks on surreal, comic adventures"

Nest siste dag på årets internasjonale figurteaterfestival på Fossekleiva kultursenter. Fikk med meg fire forestillinger: Teater Fusentasts barnevennlige sprettopp, The Naïve Theater of Liberec med den uslåelige kombinasjonen av hunder og tog, Between Two Hands kritiske kunstmekanikk, og ikke minst Puppet Theatre Dirty Ducklings ville tolkning av Ariadne-myten!
Puh!

My catch in this year's outstanding #FigurIFossekleiva international festival: Cat Smits Company: Dis Order, Pigmaliao Escultura que Mexe: Anthropophagic fables for fascist days, Alex Barti Mihajalovskij: The Barti Show, Yael Rasooly: Paper Cut.
All stunning shows!

"Dis Order is a theater piece about eating disorders and is partly autobiographical, based on the diaries of Smits as well as on the scientific research of Marlies Rekkers. With magical puppetry, dance and performance they transform this sensitive topic in a dark and poetic tale."
Indeed. A just brilliant performance opening this year's "Figur i Fossekleiva" festival.
