I just bought #Shadowdark, and reading through the PDF now. And its monster listing makes the same mistake that all other #TTRPG monster manuals seem to make - they list the monsters alphabetically.

This makes no sense. When I browse monsters, I want to browse them by level - so that I can find monsters around the same level as the PCs. If I want to look them up by name, I'll use the index.

Therefore, monsters should be sorted by level, not alphabetically.

#HotTake I'd much rather have a #LightningPort back on my iPhone. It used to be when my phone wouldn't charge through the port it was because there was lint in it, which would happen about this time of year in my ownership cycle. Now my phone won't charge through the port and it could be the wrong #usbC cable, a bad cable, the wrong brick, a bad brick, or lint in the port. The lint in the port is also much harder to clean because of the fragile little stick in there. #fightMe

I listened to the audiobook and watched the film from 1960 and the book is terrible compared to the film adaptation.

The book gets to the last few chapters and just changes entirely, it time jumps (I know like obviously duh) but the whole flow is lost.

The remember they added a bunch of stuff to the film version but it was really good.
