The fights of this movie! They managed to both make them exagerated and fun, _and_ unusually realistic. The way the characters jump in and out of the fight, what they do when they fight, and how they react to their opponent is totally believable for four nobodies (though Toad is positioning his hands right here). Sometimes I really, really wish I could show you a clip instead of a still!

A still can't make it justice (obviously), but this is one of those fights where the choreographer - and probably both the director and the storyboarder - added extra flair and had fun with it. We have the three goofy brothers protecting their big brother, red (wedding attendants) vs black (ninjas), a hot headed groom, and two-axes fight.
To be clear; the goal _isn't_ to kidnap the bride - the party just got in the way.

Yes! I caught it on picture! This season has levelled up the fight choreography too, not just in flow but in creative weird tricks. Here Lu Lingfeng has just made a master archer turn his bow backwards and shoot. I'm not sure if the script gave the choreographer a headache, but they really pulled it off!

This is an INCREDIBLE little #film.
I love #stopmotion #animation (#Laika > #Pixar, all day every day and twice on Sunday). It’s so real and tangible, with a sense of space, depth, and light that CGI just can’t capture.
But I didn’t know how bad-ass #fighting in stop-motion could be. The world needs more stop-motion fight sequences.
