So, #budweiser paid millions to be the official beer of #fifaqatar #WorldCup22 only to find out 48 hours prior to the first game that alcohol in stadiums will be banned.
From a marketing perspective this will absolutely hurt bud sales in stadiums but it has played into their hands many may not have known about their partnership. Couple this with their simple tweet of "This is awkward" and a likely sizeable payout from the Qataris I think bud will come out on top.
