Since I have to #exercise some more #patience until I can make music again, I decided to take the #fieldrecorder with me daily and #record interesting #sounds on a regular basis. This way I will have a nice little library of fresh #samples at hand when I will finally be able to start with #musicproduction again. 😇️

Hab am Dienstag das @chortippus #konzert aufgenommen und dafür mangels möglicher Hängevorrichtungen meine über 10 Jahre alte Konstruktion aus einem Baustrahlerständer + Besenstiel + Trittschallschutzsocken nutzen können. Bei 2.5m Höhe dürfen die Steinsäcken nicht fehlen - wir haben schon schlechte Erfahrung sammeln dürfen…
Oben drauf sitzt noch ein Faradayscher Käfig, der gegen Handygepupe hilft (der Tascam ist da etwas empfindlich).

Auf der Suche nach einem guten #Mikrofon für #Shaker #Recording. Erstaunlich wenig dazu gefunden bisher.
Habe es mit #Sennheiser441 versucht und es klingt harsch und undefiniert. Das gleiche beim #SM58 oder Beta.
Die beste Lösung war bisher der #Fieldrecorder von #zoom (h4n) mit seinen Stereo Kondensator Mics.
Vielleicht mal ein #Großmembran oder #Bändchenmikrofon probieren? Leider gerade keins hier. Was benutzt ihr für Shaker?

Because of the low suspension points, I have built a belt into the construction to keep the horizontal forces away from the new metal pants-hanger.
The only things missing are the #faradayCage and the #fieldRecorder (seen here: https://chaos.social/@flukdipudl/106998195838757201). More infos as usual in the image descriptions.

My #choir @chortippus had a #concert this week in #greifswald. Our current program is about songs written/arranged by women*, as there is a large deficit of #gender balance here as well.
The #recording was done using my hanging #fieldRecorder in a #faradayCage. The cage helps against mobile interferences - the device is kinda sensitive here.
Looks funny, but works and is much better then using a 2½m stand, that blocks the sight.Also, it was a good feeling #sing on stage again after 2 years :)
