I just started reading this, but I'm gonna rec it because it opened my eyes to things I haven't seen before.

First this is a #MoDaoZuShi fanfic that is also a fusion (is that the right word) with a Spanish-language webnovel.
I didn't know that any sites for reading Spanish language webnovels, but I found it on Scribd of all sites, but I think it started on webnovel.com

Anyway, the fic was in Spanish, and I know enough Spanish to read the tagline (continues)

"Candy & conspiracies" (17k) by Reverie, where wwx is adopted by madam Jin and grows up to be jzx's gremlin best friend, along with Mianmian. In wonderful contrast to canon, madam Jin is happy to leave him wild and free because he uses his genius and social skills for good, in a sometimes terrifying way 🤣 Also, there's a speedrun of 3 romances. This fic is hilarious and made me super happy.

"Fated" (3 works, 31k total) by LtLJ is a wonderfully unusual take on the arranged marriage between lwj and yllz, with a completely different, intriguing backstory. @wangxian are married against their will and find out that everything is not what it seems. Lwj is instantly in pining protectiveness mode 🤣😍 whereas wwx is torn between trust and expecting the worst. It's rather chapters of one fic than a series.

I've decided to join in on #FicRecFebruary! I'm not sure how often I'll be posting, but I'm going to try to rec a different fandom every time.

First up is a #LordOfTheRings #LOTR rec: All the growing things, by searchingforserendipity. It's a soft, peaceful post-canon fix-it in which Frodo stays in the Shire and heals instead of leaving with the Elves. There's a Sam & Rosie & Frodo QPR, cathartic walks along the river, Frodo helping raise baby Elanor, and a simply lovely writing style. (cont)
