The first of the two circles is spun and plied and if I did my counting correctly it's about 800 m before finishing. The skein is now soaking in a relaxing, cool bath.

My daughter decided to see if she liked rug-making, so she made a mini-loom using a piece of cereal box cardboard, long bamboo sticks, and medical tape.
Naturally it worked, because she is quite clever. I am very proud of her creativity and ingenuity.
She does, indeed, like rug-making, and she will likely invest in a larger, sturdier loom.

My niece’s stepdaughter is expecting her first baby in October and I’m trying something new to crochet for the family. I *hope* it results in a stackable ring toy similar to the pattern, so here’s what I’ve done so far.

I have finished my year-long project of making a faire-isle altar cloth for all of the classic neopagan holidays. Each one is dedicated to one of the gods that I worship who I feel most strongly that season.

Just finished these custom-made scrunchies. The flowers are versatile. You can loop in a hair tie or slide in a clip.
My customer wanted flowers, but left the design completely up to me. So the flowers are made partly with 1 of my own patterns & partly I improvised so that she would get something completely unique to her.
I love when my customers trust my creative intuitions.

I tried out needle felting for the first time. Got a kit for these little mushrooms I thought would be good for my midsummer altar.
My review: needle felting is a strange yet forgiving artform, and is excellent if you're in the mood to stab something hundreds of times.

Cashmere warp now on the little loom - ULA+LIA kickstarter a few years back.
Modified and fixed loom - replacement back brake pawl is installed and those nasty plastic ties are gone, texsolv cord instead. Sheets of A4 kraft paper and paper towel rolls used instead of the nasty cardboard strips. Now to find some threading energy.
The non-slip textured arm of my treadmill is so good for winding on more evenly.

Here's a little about me.
1. I've crocheted since 1998. I didn't try to sell anything until 2023.
2. I have creative projects that are just mine, not posted on social media. Very therapeutic.
3. I love handwriting. The flow of my hand relaxes me & feels kind of like painting.
4. I had a box of sketches in my room as a kid. I'd look through them & dream of being a famous artist. I lean more towards abstract art but the dream is still there.

My new house (in zone 7b) has hooks for hanging baskets outside the kitchen sink window, but that area is pretty much always shaded. Any suggestions on edible plants that would do well in that environment?
I have this crazy idea of using a bunch of string/yarn in my possession to make net-type things to put the pots in. I've seen plenty of such hanging-pot holders in stores, but if anyone has advice for how to make my own (macrame?) I'm all ears.
