The first of the two circles is spun and plied and if I did my counting correctly it's about 800 m before finishing. The skein is now soaking in a relaxing, cool bath.

Another much-needed day away from my drawing assignments (I'm getting burned out). I decided to dye some cotton t-shirts with procion dyes. Usually this type of dye is so strong I have difficulty toning down the colors, but I managed to get it just right this time. As you can see, it's really hard to tell what you're going to get in the end because the dye pot and test strips (paper towels) looks totally different from the finished cloth.

My daughter decided to see if she liked rug-making, so she made a mini-loom using a piece of cereal box cardboard, long bamboo sticks, and medical tape.
Naturally it worked, because she is quite clever. I am very proud of her creativity and ingenuity.
She does, indeed, like rug-making, and she will likely invest in a larger, sturdier loom.
