Formula E, which I've been watching since the first series several years ago, has gone paywall in the UK. Subscribe to Discovery+ to watch.

Feck that. I've been subscribing to GCN+ (live world cycling) since it launched 3(?) years ago. Which Discovery binned last month. So now need Discovery+ at double the cost to get far fewer races.

Zero loyalty to customers. Zero discounts for long standing customers. Zero interest in giving those clowns money.

It’s pretty astounding how Eurosport/Discovery+ butchers the Formula E broadcast. The commentary comes from the world feed, but they just don’t show interviews (potentially so they don’t need to translate them).

So the commentator goes “What do you think, [pitlane reporter]” and then silence happens. If you can get your hands on the English world feed, the experience is much nicer.

I’m looking forward to the #fiaFormulaE qualifying in São Paulo in a few minutes. It’s a super exciting and quick track. The eight fastest drivers battle it out in knockout rounds, which always is a lot of drama.

I’m watching the #FormulaE #HyderabadEPrix VOD. I was already not looking forward to Nelson Piquet Jr on commentary. He IMMEDIATELY proved even worse than expected by prattling on incoherently for like a full minute - to make matter worse, he was talking over the Race Director for a good chunk of it #FIAFormulaE #ABBFormulaE
