Hello internet did you know that Nobuo Uematsu's "Dancing Mad" from Final Famtasy VI is a masterpiece?
You already knew that? Well, here's an excuse to go listen to it again!
My favorite little bit is when one movement sounds almost heroic, then you hear Kefka's theme in the bass and the song switches from Major to Minor, complete with replaying the last phrase in Minor for full effect. It's like Kefka's true self slips through the god-like act

I would play the shit out of this game. I would love a remake of the true best Final Fantasy! If you think it’s VII you were always wrong. Final Fantasy VI is THE masterpiece in the series.

Goddess help me, today was horrible
I got to work and the girl before me did almost nothing before she left
the customers were all being mean and angry
the truck came in, a full day early, while I was the only one working
I kept making dumb mistakes because I was overwhelmed
a guy came in to work on the registers, and his voice sounded exactly like Krish, one of the men that assaulted me
I was hiding in the back room crying every chance I got
I was panicking and triggered for basically my entire shift
everything hurts
I'm exhausted but too adrenaline to rest
my brain is on fire
and I think my coworker who came in to relieve me was annoyed that I hadn't gotten more done
but I'm listening to music from Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI and it's helping me calm down
I have an appointment with my therapist on Tuesday

Alright, time for the custom cart/Kefka revenge tour! I'm feeling like crap, but I figured playing a bit o' vidya games would help out. Time for some Final Fantasy 6 in the only way I know how to play it: on an old CRT TV with more than a bit of profanity.

Hrmm, seems like I need to check a few things out about the PCB as I have somehow lost all of my saves on that cart. However, I also feel like absolute crap which means I'm moving over to the SD2SNES and starting over. I'm thinking about streaming FF6 and just chilling after work because _reasons_.

Still not feeling great, but figured today would be a great day to finally test out the entirety of the custom FF6 cart I built so long ago. Broke out the Sony PVM-2530, got everything hooked up, and now it's time to beat all of the things down.
The SNES is modded with Voultar's SNESRGB mod, and the video/audio goes out via a SCART connector into the SCART switch (`gscart`), then into the CMPTR adapter, _then_ into the Sony PVM.
I do have two SCART switches, and if you're looking at buying one just get the `gscart` switch. The Mini Hydra is the most temperamental thing I've ever had the honor of paying money for...
