Added chapters in #Ferrite with chapter art, but none of it seems to have made it to any podcast player …. Can’t work out if it’s a Squarespace thing or something else. Any easy way to debug an mp3 file and embedded data?!

While you don’t need it a lot, using the audio track/timeline to tweak and make changes can be super fiddly.
Because of the choppiness of the audio, I certainly can’t export that and use it for my normal podcast, so need to edit the raw audio in #Ferrite tomorrow.
After spending 90 mins editing the video (mainly chapters, correcting transcription, cutting a few bits out), the output is “ok”. Going forward for the time being I don’t think I’ll bother doing videos.

@stephenrobles @jsbilsbrough the ProMotion would be nice, but not essential. And, weirdly enough, the thing that bothered me most was the TouchID … but that’s certainly not the end of the world.
Thanks to James’ great overview earlier, #Ferrite worked great (and quicker than I expected) on my 4th gen, so an M2 would make it fly!
And, Stephen, keep up the great work with all the videos and podcast - really enjoying all the content at the moment!

Have been watching @stephenrobles videos and briefly chatted to @jsbilsbrough today - highly tempted to get the new 11” iPad Air (even though I was leaning towards the Pro earlier) - mainly because it’s a bit more cost effective and my Magic Keyboard for my 4th gen Air would still work perfectly. For computational mechanics/physics, if you code by just punching in the equations from the textbooks directly, the physics should work, but computationally the way you evaluate the quantities may be unstable. This paper lists some recipes to avoid these.
Mostly small strain problem, but still feels icky to leave in.

I might be missing something here but:
It seems that adding ferrite cores is the only solution to all RFI and EMI issues in ham radio.
Youtube is full of videos about wrapping every single wire in household and neighbor's house into coil around a ferrite toroid.
Is there really no other way? Who is the first Youtuber to introduce any other ways to eliminate interference?

This is all new to me but it looks promising.
36m² of photovoltaic cells on the roof and a beefy home battery.
The PV converter is totally RF quiet on the #hfbands in #hamradio. In use for 3 months.
The battery controller got pushed into service last week so it needs more testing but a first spin on HF does not reveal broadband noise.
Liberal amounts of #ferrite cores were applied everywhere in this installation. -
It’s Sunday evening, I’m sat at the desk in my lounge editing tomorrow’s @crossedwires episode. It was only recorded last night, and being able to turn that around is in no small part thanks to #SquadCast and #Ferrite.

I’m currently editing next week’s @crossedwires whilst sat at my parents’ dining room table on an iPad using an Apple Pencil. I know I’ve said this before, but the freedom using #Ferrite brings for me as a podcaster is amazing.
Also, I think you’ll love this one. Zach from #SquadCast and I go into some really tech stuff about their V5 and future #Streaming plans.
