I went down a bit of a rabbit hole this morning and found a reference to a Ferengi crew trying to talk to a dog on an episode of Enterprise. They had a hard time deciding if it's food, a lower life form or very intelligent due to its large ears.
So I looked up the clip and started realizing, we know all three of these actors! Holy crap!

Regarding HMS #Dragon, and why is it allegedly taking so long for it to be prepared for duty https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/mar/10/mod-criticised-after-delay-in-sending-hms-dragon-to-cyprus I suspect one of the issues is buried in the last section "a new contract with Serco, which runs in-port services for the government". Probably all you need to know. Serco et al are like the #Ferengi. Nothing happens if it is not profitable.

And with both characters you can see "love is the catalyst for [their ] transformation."
