In a field where men have historically been treated as the default and female aspects have been under-researched and under-funded, it’s no surprise that postpartum depression, which happens to 1 in 7 women, hasn’t been treatable with a simple pill—until now. According to official data analyzed by the Trades Union Congress, there is a 15% gender pay gap that increases after women have children. This adds up to 54 days per year that women work for free. We don’t need an International Women’s Day—we need 54 of them. #FeministFriday #GenderPayGap #GenderEquality #TradesUnionCongress #InternationalWomensDay #IWD
