Apart from the solar good news, David Slack goes on to berate the #PM, no less.

'So much of what I have written about this mediocre PM of vaulting self-regard has had to end with: What a phoney.

'Up he goes this week to Whangārei to tell 300 people I don't have to work for a living I'm just really into being your mediocre PM. And he's brought with him all the stock Monty Burns lines about them high and mighty bureaucrats in the Capital.

' "I love getting in and out of Wellington as quickly as possible and getting out and about and meeting with people because from the front line you actually hear the opportunities and also the challenges that exist."

'That explains the school lunch atrocity, then. And the forced local body amalgamations. And telling us we can't put our medication packets in the recycling even when our local council is perfectly happy with them. Phoney is too kind... '
