    The devil is in the detail, as always. Electrification goals are one thing, but reliance on #FossilFuels will continue regardless because of needed #FeedStocks derived from Fossil fuels for many industrial processes. So the 2050 dictat may aim to stop using fossil fuels for energy production and maybe transport (if electrification does penetrate that market fully) but a complete sloughing off from a dependancy on fossil fuels is very doubtful for many industries. Maybe in a few more centuries when we can ‘create’ any molecule using cheap processes from quantum fields we might.
