Since the escalation of the genocide, her family home has been destroyed by bombs, and her family has been displaced numerous times. Amongst rampant starvation, sickness, unending violence, and the complete destruction of Palestine's economy, Sara and her family have a constant need for funds.

I highly recommend watching this #documentary to understand how young #Israeli #dissenters / #ConscientiousObjectors feel & the consequences they face for trying to stand for justice. They're in the minority in Israel & are often called traitors by Zionazis. I know some former Israelis in BC who have been ostracized from their families; who refuse to stop being bigoted Zionazis & support more violent land thefts from Palestinians. Dissenters don't get support from a society that has been brainwashed to hate all Arabs - they usually face abuses/harassment for taking moral & ethical stands against occupational forces/violence.

Like all Israeli youth, Atalya is expected to become a soldier. Unlike most, she questions the practices of her country’s military, and becomes determined to challenge this rite of passage.
