I've got an old laptop with a mini 1394 port and an #Alexis Multimix (12?) mixing board. It works fine and I don't really need more right now. Might get a PCI-E to FireWire adaptor card for my old desktop partially just because. There is a small advantage to it over USB.
idk how much more I'll obtain. It's cheap. lol
What's better is #MADI, #DANTE, #ADAT direct to PCI-E. Use Cat6+ if you've really got that many channels.

Now with the Enlightenment Desktop Environment!I've probably heard about this but, never looked into it. I think I should soon. It's based on MX #Linux which, in turn, is based on #Debian GNU+Linux. lol.
It's tailored towards #audioproduction and content creation in general.
